Digital Asset Management for e-Commerce

Reduce costs and save time by integrating your enterprise content management (ECM) system with your Digital Asset Management (DAM) program.

Case Study

We worked with a toy supplier that wanted to manage hundreds of product images on their web server. They used product images in several ways, which meant that they had to store them in various locations. Their ECM software needed to reference the images in one place, and their shopping cart system needed to reference product images from another place.

The potential for errors was great!

Typo3 DAM and Pinnacle Cart

The solution proved to be a simple one. Using the set of DAM extensions available for the toy supplier's Typo3 web site, they manage their digital assets from one place. Typo3 can index product images by following a symlink to a shopping cart's image folder.

To do this, login to your Unix server using your favorite command line client. Create the symbolic link using the following syntax:

ln -s source target
